Estrella adores her enigmatic father, Agustín. As she grows up, she uncovers secrets that reshape her perception of him, altering their relationship. Erice’s El Sur, explores themes of admiration, disillusionment, and the complexity of family ties.

Often considered as an overlooked masterpiece of Spanish cinema, the second feature of Víctor Erice, nominated for a Palme d’Or in Cannes 1983, is a coming-of-age tale of a complicated father-daughter relationship, shaped by the difficult political context of the country at the time.

Enjoy a glass of Tío Pepe Fino courtesy of González Byass and some of the best jamón with the compliments of Spanish Master Ham before the screening from 6.15pm.
