Carmen is a long-suffering housewife married to Carlos, a machista completely mad about soccer. Together with Toñi, their teenager daughter, they live in a working class neighbourhood of Madrid. While attending a wedding Pepe, Carmen's cousin, hypnotises Carlos but it soon becomes apparent that Carlos has been possessed by the ghost of Tito a waiter who years earlier stabbed seven people before killing himself. Following Snow White, and playing with stereotypes, Berger's film follows the same line as his previous work. This is a very personal film mixing sharp satire, social critique and humour benefitting from the support of some of Spain's most reliable actors and wonderful photography by Kiko de la Rica.
